UArts APP REBRAND

Student-imagined and long overdue, this is a concept mockup of The University of the Art’s Student App. Not only does it feature a fresh new look, the redesign is meant to put student needs and wants first along with correcting the apps flaws and faults.

Home Page

The landing page of the app was designed to be a quick dashboard for students to find the information they need. Along with easy-to-access services such as tutoring and educational accessibility, students can see their schedule with corresponding times and locations and any other events they plan.

Class Schedule

One issue several students had with the UArts App is the inability to see their class schedule creating confusion and uncertainty. My redesign offers students a quick way to view their class schedule along with reminders for registration and advisor appointments!

Financial Information

In this design, students may now easily check their loan amounts along with quickly accessing sites to make payments. In addition, they may also conveniently check their dining dollar amount for their meal plans along with adding dining dollars if students are running low.

Dining Services

When first arriving at UArts, it was difficult to figure out where to find the mobile-ordering app. Now, students can easily access dining services with the integrated mobile-ordering feature. It displays order status, locations, hours, and call-to-action buttons to begin an order!

Virtual Student ID

The core feature of this app is the virtual student ID! To get anywhere on campus, students must show their IDs to security guards, tap IDs on door locks, and scan IDs to order food. Without an ID, you cannot even get into your dorm room! Adding this feature erases the need to have your ID on you, allowing students to feel relief knowing their phone will get them to the places they need to go. Utilizing the phone’s facial recognition technology, students can rest assured that they are the only ones accessing their ID.
